LinkedIn just got DNS hijacked, and for the last hour or so, all of your traffic has been sent to a network hosted by this company [confluence-networks.com]. And they don’t require SSL, so if you tried to visit, your browser sent your long-lived session cookies in plaintext.

Rumour has it that later this year Apple will launch a wrist watch that will not only tell you the time but will allow you to monitor yourself and control other devices. The watch will understand where you are, what you have eaten, how many calories you have burnt, how well you have slept etc.

The reason I believe the iWatch (or the smart watch idea in general) will change the world is because it will allow all of us to collect and analyse data on both a personal and global level. Take health as an example. These intelligent wrist watches will permit monitoring of an individual’s heart rate, calorie intake, activity levels, quality of sleep and more.

iPhone在07年面世,喬布斯以「表現欠佳」的理由,當時並沒有讓iPhone支援Flash。結果到了08年,Adobe開始對外保證:「特別為移動裝置設計的Flash,即將來臨,其表現將會很出色。」

同一番說話,09年說一篇,10年再說一篇。終於,10年夏天推出了Android版本,但其表現,跟出色完全沾不上邊,卻引來不少平板電腦品牌打著「可以運行Flash」的旗號來挑戰iPad,結果iPad的地位依舊穩如泰山,沒有絲毫被動搖。

早於10年4月,喬布斯就曾於蘋果網站發表一封公開信,清楚解釋為何iOS平台選擇放棄Flash,又預測未來將是html5的天下。其後,Adobe還打出「We Love Apple」廣告還擊,企圖證明Flash的存在價值,贏取人心,可惜事實勝於雄辯,不少iOS開發者透過App
Store發佈的遊戲和軟件,早已證明缺少了Flash,根本沒有什麼大不了。

毫無疑問,Flash在桌面運算是成功的產品,統計數字顯示,Flash的潛在用戶人數逾20億,因為超過99﹪瀏覽器支援Flash,只有約40﹪支援html5,而且在舊式瀏覽器如IE8,Flash更加是應用多媒體的必需工具。然而,進入移動運算的世界,Flash頓即變得不合時宜,耗電量大,又不支援智能手機至關重要的「手指」觸控介面。

來到11年,Adobe依舊無法沒法兌現承諾,直至最近數天,終於正式宣佈,結束Mobile
Flash的開發
,同時裁員750人,重組公司架構。可惜喬布斯已經過身,無法親眼目睹對手正式投降。

自創辦以來,Adobe創造過不少頂尖的產品,但自從創辦人淡出以後,Adobe一直以來基本上靠食老本過活,甚少有突破的新產品。放棄將早已過氣的Flash,搬字過紙到移動世界,絕對不是Adobe的未日。反而公司宣佈重整架構,未來更專注開發兼容html5的產品,那是重新上路的契機,創新是科技公司最重要的精神資產,Adobe應該感謝喬布斯的當頭棒喝。
